Empress of France, wife of Napoleon, her elegance and beauty made her one of the most celebrated women of the late18th century.
It was at the Château de Malmaison not far from Paris that she developed her love and passion for interior design, botantical gardens and especially rare flowers.
As her expertise in botany and horticulture blossomed, her magnificent gardens grew to include more than 250 varieties of roses from around the world.
